Will you ride the wave, or be swept away?

There is a vast, powerful movement sweeping the world. It is a movement driven by a burning faith, a desire to conquer, dominate, and destroy that which is different. This movement promises to take us back to the Dark Ages…a Taliban that wishes to subjugate women, eliminate minorities, and bring American to its knees.

I am writing, of course, about the scourge of Christian fundamentalism. This ain’t your momma’s church. These “Dominionists” want you to come to Jesus…whether you want to or not.

Coming soon to a school board near you.

Now those guys really are frightening. The dark side of a dark philosophy.

Like all those who are at base unsure about the validity of their prognostications, Christian Fundamentalists shout loudly and carry bigs sticks, but they’re at best unconvincing. It’s simply a disgrace that such intellectually messy people can be in control of so much of America. British fundamentalism doesn’t really take off – we’re too cynical, and most fundies are too polite to throw their opinions down other’s throats.

Ride that wave! Resist! Eventually, thankfully, these folk will run out of steam.

Eliminate minorities? That has nothing to do with what I wrote. If you really believe that Ann Coulter or I was speaking of eliminating minorities, you have abandoned all logic and reason. You have deluded yourself so greatly to think that anyone with a different and perhaps (gasp!) Christian perspective is bigoted, racist, and facist. If you ask me, people like you are the real bigots, people who don’t understand Christian beliefs because they’ve shrouded themselves in ignorance and hatred.

Fundamentalists aren’t real Christians. Everything they say and do goes directly against Christ’s teachings, and this is only further proof.

I used to be proud to be Christian, until I realized shit like this was going on. It’s getting to where I can’t show my faith in public for fear of being branded as one of them.
